Pershore, Worcestershire Salary: £13.00 - £14.50 per hour depending on experience Slitting Machine Operator Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an Slitting Machine Operator to join our client on an ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with experience using Slitting machines and working within a manufacturing, packaging environment. Your Role As a Slitting Machine Operator , your duties will include:
Set up and operate slitting machines according to production specifications. Load and unload material rolls safely using appropriate equipment. Adjust machine settings, blades, tension, and cutting widths to achieve the required specifications. Monitor the production process and make adjustments when necessary. Carry out quality checks to ensure finished products meet company standards. Measure and inspect finished rolls for correct width, length, appearance, and quality.
Identify and report machine faults, material defects, and production issues. Complete production records, paperwork, and quality-control documentation accurately. Package, label, and prepare finished rolls for storage or dispatch. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Follow company health and safety procedures and wear the required PPE. Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of machinery. Work effectively as part of a production team and meet daily production targets.
Requirements Proven experience in manufacturing, printing (Flexo, Gravure and Offset) Aware of the BRC Code of Practice Good attention to detail Pay & Shifts £13.00 - £14.50 per hour depending one experience Monday
- Friday with occasional Saturday work 48 hours per week, across 4 days Paid breaks - x2 20 minutes 06:30 - 18:30 or 18:30 - 06:30 What's in it for you?
