Registered Nurse – Maternal Child Health / Delivery Room – Per Diem (Day Shift)

Location: Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy, New Jersey

Hackensack Meridian Health nurses care for patients 24/7 at multiple facilities across NJ. This role supports maternal and child health patients in a dynamic team environment focused on continuous improvement and compassionate care.

• Provide direct care to mother‑to‑baby patients in the delivery room and postpartum units.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team members to meet desired outcomes.
• Delegate, evaluate, and validate care provided by other caregivers.
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient status accurately.
• Adhere to institutional protocols, clinical guidelines, and quality‑improvement initiatives.

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• AHA BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• BSN in progress or willingness to obtain within 3 years (applicable for hires 2019 onwards).
• Minimum 6 months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency Program.

Minimum hourly rate of $44.24. Compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other factors, and may include shift differentials, performance‑based incentives, and benefits.
