Functional Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic's primary role is to maintain and support the reliability of manufacturing equipment and processes. Additional responsibilities include effective troubleshooting and problem solving, efficient repair, and documentation and communication of technical processes, for various mechanical and electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Observe mechanical equipment in operation to locate causes of trouble
• Repair and maintain manufacturing equipment, including roll-forming, slitting, paint line, stamping, etc.
• Diagnose equipment failures and provide recommendations for proper repair course of action
• Dismantle equipment to remove and replace defective parts
• Adjust functional parts of equipment and control instruments
• Use hand tools, measurement devices, and shop equipment to repair mechanical and hydraulic equipment
• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment
• Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of machinery
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience on manufacturing equipment
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (potentially on call for emergencies)
• Can read and interpret prints, specifications, and Maintenance Manuals
• Comfortable standing for a long period of time
• Can lift 50lbs
• Must read and write in English
