Job Description We’re looking to appoint an Associate Director based in Perth to help shape and support rail projects across Western Australia and the wider ANZ region. This role will play a key part in delivering major rail projects and positioning AECOM for upcoming opportunities in a strong and active market. Working closely with senior leaders, clients and project teams, you’ll combine client engagement, project delivery and business development in one of our most important rail hubs.

How you’ll make a difference Lead and contribute to high quality bid responses, including shaping win strategy and written submissions

Act as a key client interface, representing AECOM across major rail projects

Nurture and maintain existing client relationships while identifying organic growth opportunities

Support the selling and positioning of project outcomes and team capability to clients

Play a visible role in conferences, industry forums and client events

Work flexibly across pursuits and live projects depending on business need

Qualifications

Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation is essential

Strong background in rail infrastructure with a broad, end to end understanding of rail systems and operations

Proven experience in business development, including shaping opportunities and supporting growth

Confident leading and contributing to bid responses, with strong written and commercial judgement

Demonstrated ability to build, manage and maintain senior client relationships

Comfortable in senior client facing roles, acting as a trusted advisor

Experience leading and coordinating project teams in a delivery environment

Able to manage people on projects, providing direction, oversight and support without formal line management

Commercially minded with a balanced view across delivery, clients and growth
