Construction Sub Agent, Site Manager

Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join a major highways and earthworks scheme. This is an excellent opportunity to take a key leadership role on a large-scale infrastructure project, supporting the successful delivery of complex highway and bulk earthworks operations.

Sub Agent Responsibilities:

• Managing and overseeing daily site operations on highways and earthworks packages.
• Supporting the delivery of bulk earthworks, drainage, pavement, and highway construction works.
• Supervising engineering and site teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery of works.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.
• Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and supporting mitigation planning.
• Undertaking QA/QC inspections and ensuring accurate site records are maintained.
• Coordinating with the Site Agent, Project Manager, subcontractors, and designers.

Sub Agent Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Sub Agent on highways, earthworks, or heavy civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies for highways and bulk earthworks.
• Experience managing subcontractors and supervising site engineering teams.
• Good knowledge of QA/QC processes and construction record keeping.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
