Perth & Kinross Council is seeking enthusiastic, professional and flexible teachers to join our Gaelic Medium Education (GME) Supply Teacher List.

We are looking for qualified teachers who are passionate about Gaelic language, culture and education and who can provide supply cover across our GME provision in both Primary and Secondary settings.

Supply opportunities may arise within our Gaelic Medium Education establishments across Perth & Kinross, supporting learners at various stages of their educational journey. Opportunities may include:

  • Primary Gaelic Medium Education classes
  • Secondary Gaelic language and learning through Gaelic
  • Short-term and longer-term supply placements
  • Supporting continuity of learning for young people within GME pathways

Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this post.

Skills & Experience Required

You must:

  • Be appropriately qualified and registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS)
  • Be fluent Gaelic speakers
  • Be confident in delivering learning through the medium of Gaelic
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality learning and teaching
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with learners, families and colleagues
