Description:

Strathallan School is seeking to appoint a caring, organised and reliable Boys' House Matron to support the day-to-day running of one of our senior boys' boarding houses.

This is a rewarding pastoral role at the heart of boarding life, providing practical, emotional and organisational support to pupils while helping to create a warm, welcoming and well-managed environment in which they can thrive. Working closely with the Housemaster and wider pastoral team, the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting pupils' wellbeing, encouraging independence, and ensuring the smooth operation of the house.

As a trusted and approachable adult presence, you will build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues, offering guidance and support while maintaining high standards of care and organisation.

This is a term-time position working approximately 45 hours per week, offering an excellent opportunity to become part of a close-knit boarding community and contribute meaningfully to pupils' day-to-day experience at one of Scotland's leading boarding schools.

The Matron Team

Our Matron team is a highly valued part of Strathallan's boarding provision and plays a central role in supporting the wellbeing and pastoral care of pupils across the School.

The team comprises seven matrons across the senior boarding houses and one within the Prep School. Working collaboratively, matrons meet regularly to share best practice, discuss emerging themes and support one another in managing the demands of boarding life. This strong culture of teamwork ensures a consistent approach to pupil care and provides an excellent support network for new and existing team members alike.

Through their collective experience, commitment and dedication, the Matron team helps create the caring, structured and supportive environment that underpins the success of boarding at Strathallan.
