We are seeking an experienced Project Manager
- BESS to oversee contract, production, logistics, and commissioning of utility‑scale BESS (Battery Energy Storage) projects in the UK and Europe. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy project management, particularly in battery storage, and will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. EPC experience is highly preferred.

This position is remote within the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end project management of BESS projects, from initial contract negotiation through to commissioning and handover to customer.
  • Responsible for coordinating the feasibility analysis of the project, formulating the project assignment book, building a team after the project was established, coordinating internal and external resources (customer projects meet customer needs), leading a cross‑cultural team to complete the project objectives, and managing the project quality, cost, schedule, expense, communication and risk.
  • Coordinate internal teams, contractors and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage project schedules and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor project progress, report on KPIs, and resolve any technical or logistical challenges.
  • Support business development by providing technical input for new BESS opportunities.
Qualifications
  • At least 3+ years of experience managing BESS or renewable energy projects (solar, wind, or grid‑scale storage) and 5+ years of general project management experience.
  • Business‑fluent English; further European languages are considered a big plus.
  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or experience in a related field.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management.
  • Solid intercultural communication skills.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and risk mitigation abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, evolving industry.
  • Willingness to frequent business travel (up to 40% of working time).
