We are growing our Bridges, Aviation and Roads team in Perth and are seeking talented Highways Engineers across a range of experience levels who are passionate about technical excellence, innovation and delivering outstanding outcomes for clients.

With a strong pipeline of major road, highway, freight, urban transport and integrated infrastructure projects across metropolitan Perth and regional WA, we are looking for exceptional engineers who want to make a genuine impact.

As part of WSP's Transport & Infrastructure business, you will work on projects ranging from major highways and strategic freight corridors through to complex urban road upgrades and multidisciplinary transport programs.

You'll collaborate with industry-leading engineers across Australia and internationally, providing opportunities to expand your technical expertise, develop client relationships and contribute to the delivery of some of the state's most significant infrastructure investments.

Our roads team is also at the forefront of digital engineering, leveraging Open Roads, automation, parametric design, GIS integration and data-driven workflows to deliver smarter, safer and more sustainable infrastructure solutions. We are continually investing in tools and innovation, and you'll have the opportunity to influence how transport infrastructure is delivered rather than simply following established processes.

Based in our Perth CBD office, you'll join a collaborative, high-performing team that values technical excellence, innovation and professional  this role, you will Contribute to the delivery of complex roads and highways projects across Western Australia and nationally.

Develop and review road design solutions, technical reports and engineering documentation.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated transport infrastructure outcomes.

Build strong client relationships and help deliver value-driven engineering solutions.

Support project delivery across scope, programme, budget and quality requirements.

Contribute to proposals, pursuits and strategic growth initiatives within the transport sector.

Apply digital engineering tools and innovative design approaches to improve project outcomes.

Depending on your experience and aspirations, you may also:

Act as a Design Lead, Project Technical Lead or Discipline Lead on major transport projects.

Provide technical review, verification and independent checking of design deliverables.

Serve as a recognised technical authority within roads and highways engineering.

Lead multidisciplinary teams across local, national and international projects.

Manage technical risk and champion Safety in Design principles.

Mentor and develop emerging engineers, strengthening the capability of our team.

Lead client relationships and become a trusted advisor on strategic infrastructure programs.

Drive innovation in digital engineering, automation and project delivery methodologies.

Lead technical input into major bids, pursuits and business development initiatives.

About You You will possess a combination of technical capability, collaborative leadership and a genuine passion for delivering better transport outcomes.

You will have:

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Chartered status (CPEng or equivalent), or be actively working towards Chartership.

Experience in roads and highways engineering gained through the planning, design or delivery of transport infrastructure projects.

Knowledge of Australian Standards, Main Roads WA requirements and contemporary road design practices.

Experience using road design software such as Open Roads Designer or similar platforms.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
