Position: Head of Finance |

Head of Finance | Perth

Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment are recruiting, on an exclusive basis, for a Head of Finance role to take ownership of the operational delivery of financial services and support in strategic leadership in a prominent Scottish organisation, based in Perth. You will join a mission‑led organisation and play a key role in the local leadership team, with responsibility across the finance and payroll functions, a team of 13 people.

Opportunity
  • Provide effective operational management and support strategic leadership and delivery of the organisation's financial agenda
  • Develop, embed and lead the organisation's Finance function and team (team of 13)
  • Be accountable for— and hands‑on, where required— for annual budgets, management accounts, forecasts, cashflow forecasts and financial returns
  • Lead the annual statutory accounts process including liaising with external auditors
  • Encourage and promote income generation across the organisation
  • Ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place to mitigate financial risk and ensure financial sustainability
  • Lead, develop and sustain a positive working culture, collaborative working and ensure excellent customer service from the Finance team
The Candidate
  • A recognised professional accounting qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience leading a finance function in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment
  • Strong knowledge of financial legislation
  • Experience managing audits, reporting cycles and internal financial controls
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills and experience building high‑performance teams
  • Strategic mindset coupled with strong operational awareness and delivery
  • The ability to communicate financial information to financial and non‑financial audiences
Benefits and Conditions
  • 8.45 - 4.45pm Monday to Friday (35 hours)
  • Hybrid working (60% of time on site)
  • Salary £67k - £74k depending on experience, reviewed annually
