The role

We are seeking a Corporate and Regulatory Finance Manager to play an important role in the financial delivery and performance management of Electricity Transmission’s RIIO‑T3 programme, a c.£30bn investment plan for 2026–31.

As the Transmission business moves into the delivery and execution of the RIIO‑T3 plan, this role provides financial insight across long‑term planning, price control financial management, regulatory performance, funding structures and stakeholder engagement.

Working in a team at the centre of Transmission’s financial strategy, you will support high‑quality decision making and ensure outcomes are delivered in line with the regulatory settlement, finance-ability requirements and shareholder expectations.

This is a high‑profile role, offering exposure to Transmission’s senior leaders, other network companies, Ofgem, and Transmission’s shareholders.

You will
  • Maintain and develop the 10-year Transmission financial model, ensuring alignment with the business plan, RIIO‑T3 settlement and funding strategy.
  • Manage key financial aspects of the RIIO‑T3 price control, including Transmission‑specific price control modelling, regulatory submissions and ongoing ad‑hoc financial analysis required by the business and Ofgem.
  • Provide senior insight and challenge on commercial decision making, capital delivery, gearing, funding structures and finance ability, supporting executive‑level decision making.
  • Monitor and explain performance across expenditure, RAV growth, returns and incentive mechanisms, translating complex regulatory and financial drivers into clear insight for senior stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including Ofgem, other network operators, the Transmission business, Group Finance and Regulation, acting as a trusted financial counterpart on regulatory and price control matters.
You have
  • Strong finance experience, ideally within a large‑scale capital‑intensive or regulated business.
  • Excellent financial modelling, forecasting and performance analysis capability. A thoughtful, analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks and opportunities and influence outcomes.
  • Confidence communicating complex financial and regulatory information, with strong judgement and stakeholder management skills.
  • An understanding of regulatory frameworks (or a clear willingness to develop deep expertise in this area).
  • Qualified accountant (ICAS,ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) with strong post qualified experience.
