An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a leading organisation delivering complex, large-scale operational services across Scotland. This is a high-profile role supporting a portfolio of contracts worth approximately 50m
, partnering directly with senior operational leaders to drive commercial performance, improve profitability, and influence strategic decision-making.
This position is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, challenging performance, and transforming financial and operational data into meaningful business insight.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with operational and contract leadership teams to provide commercial and financial support.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Deliver detailed financial analysis, performance reporting and scenario modelling.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, reduce costs and enhance contract performance.
- Support commercial activities including contract changes, extensions and negotiations.
- Monitor financial and commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Work collaboratively with finance teams to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
- Utilise technology, data analytics and reporting tools to support business decisions.
- Present complex financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
We're looking for a qualified finance professional with strong commercial awareness and exceptional stakeholder management skills.
You will ideally possess:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong finance business partnering experience within a complex PFI environment.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis.
- Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to interpret both financial and operational performance drivers.
- Experience operating within contract-led, outsourced services, infrastructure, facilities management, engineering or similar environments.
- The ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders while building strong relationships.
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
