At Upper Springland we provide long-term and permanent residential care and support for people with a range of disabilities. We help people lead their lives to the full, providing for any needs they may have and to provide meaningful and exciting community interaction within Perth and the surrounding areas.
About the RoleWe are looking to recruit a Speech & Language Therapist to work as part of Allied Health service within Upper Springland. You will provide an effective speech and language therapy service to enable and support adults who have complex needs, helping them to have control, choice and equality in daily life for their health and well‑being.
You will liaise regularly with Allied Health colleagues and provide advice and support to Service Managers and care staff. You will have a degree or diploma in Speech & Language Therapy and be HCPC registered, with clinical expertise reflecting evidence‑based practice in the specialist field of multiple and complex needs.
Candidates with dysphagia knowledge and expertise are preferred. The ability to manage and prioritise your own workload is essential, as are well‑developed organisational and communication skills.
You will have experience of good interdisciplinary working with a holistic outlook and delivering an effective customer‑focused service. Alternative & Augmentative Communication (AAC) experience is essential.

This post is open to all experienced SLTs; it may suit someone who is semi‑retired, seeking a 2nd job or wishing to work part‑time around other commitments. Working hours are flexible – the 15 hours can be worked over 2, 3 or 5 days, and all requests will be considered.
