Overview
Kingfisher House Care Home is a purpose-built 77-bed care home located in Perth, set in a riverside location on the banks of the River Tay. Providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care, the home offers a modern and well-supported environment where team members can develop their skills, work as part of a strong team and make a meaningful difference every day.
Role OverviewAs Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands-on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.
You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care.
Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well-organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.
Role Details- £12.71 per hour
- Full Time
- Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
- A positive and reliable approach
- Good attention to detail and organisation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial
- Previous experience is welcomed but not essential
