Porter Supervisor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Portering Supervisor to join our team at Perth Royal Infirmary. You will be required to provide supervision to the Portering staff on a day to day basis to ensure an effective and safe service to wards and departments in the delivery and collection service of meals, mail, specimens, stores, equipment, medical gases, clinical/confidential waste and sundry items across the Perth Royal Infirmary Site.

You will also be responsible for providing training, risk assessments and the general portering service to wards, departments and respond to the needs of patients, visitors and the general public.

You must have the ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, follow instructions and possess good communication skills. You must also be able to respond constructively to unpredictable situations and able to cope under pressure.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Hours of work are: 30.0 hours Mon-Fri however there may be a requirement to work weekends.
