We are looking for an Occupational Therapist skilled in Moving & Handling to join our OT Service.
This is a full time, 36 hours per week, peripatetic role, covering all localities across Perth & Kinross.

In this role, you will:
- Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of our Moving & Handling and Optimising Care strategies.
- Provide expert clinical advice and support to colleagues, care providers, customers and carers using clinical experience and expertise.
- Support clinical staff with problem solving in complex cases using a variety of techniques to enable continuity, sustainability and clinical safety.
- Deliver high quality training in partnership with our Learning and Development M&H Training Lead.
- Drive best practice across commissioned services, ensuring approaches are safe, proportionate, and independence focused.
- Carry a complex caseload, completing advanced OT M&H assessments
- Produce risk assessment documentation /create moving and handling plans.
- Undertake risk assessments and problem solving in a range of environments in relation to safe moving & handling practice.
- Arrange provision of equipment and demonstrate its use.
- Respond to and support complex discharge planning for individuals with manual handling needs.
- Undertake assessments for complex postural care and seating needs.
- Co-ordinate/undertake Risk assessment reviews of complex M&H Plans.
- Support colleagues within the Locality Integrate Care Teams and advise/support with M&H issues/complex case issues.
- Promote a culture of continuous professional development and reflective practice.
- You will have access to extensive and ongoing training and support for continued professional development.

- Has significant experience in moving and handling practice, ideally including both children and adults with complex needs.
