The Central Vaccination Service is looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking leader who can lead/manage a complex community-based service to deliver vaccination programmes as instructed by the CMO and Scottish Government. This is a continually evolving service which requires strong leadership and organisational skills, together with a can-do attitude to deliver on local and national priorities.
The successful candidate needs to be resilient, adaptable and a team player, together with assured professional and personal values.
As the Senior Charge Nurse for the Perth & Kinross area, you will be instrumental and responsible for the day to day running of the service, maintaining quality and safety standards within the service delivered.
As part of NHS Tayside’s Public Health Directorate, the Central Vaccination Service plays a key role in health protection and health promotion. In collaboration with other services and through a multidisciplinary approach, the Central Vaccination Service provides expert advice and delivery of all vaccines provided by the NHS. The team deliver a number of vaccination programmes to all ages across Tayside, including in community-based clinics, outreach & rural clinics, as well as in care homes and home visits.
With our commitment to person centred care and tackling health inequalities, we have strong links with other community outreach teams and work in collaboration through our inclusivity team.

Working hours 08:00 – 16:00, Monday to Friday, with Saturday work during Autumn/Winter vaccination campaign
