Hours:

40 per week

A co‑educational independent boarding school in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, serving children aged between 12 and 18 years. Catering to just under 400 pupils and staff daily, we offer breakfast, lunch and supper along with high‑end hospitality and summer lets. The school operates 7 days a week; working patterns are 5 out of 7 days. Free parking is available on site.

Shift Patterns – 5 over 7 days

Shift timings – between 0700 and 2000

We are recruiting 2 positions: one for 40 hours per week and one for 25 hours per week.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Perth.

You will play a vital role in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

Key Skills
  • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Great team player
  • Ability to help the Chefs with some food prep
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
  • Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
  • Operate industrial dishwasher
We Are Looking For
  • Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Organisation Skills.
Knowledge / Competencies
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good written English and reading skills.
  • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred.
