Alexander Steele are partnering with a successful FMCG business to recruit an Operational Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing manufacturing operation where data, planning and forecasting play a critical role in supporting business performance and customer service.

The Operational Analyst will be responsible for analysing demand trends, developing production forecasts and providing insight that supports effective operational planning. Working closely with manufacturing, supply chain, logistics and commercial teams, you will help ensure resources, stock levels and production plans are aligned with customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse sales trends, customer demand and operational data to produce accurate forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain production planning and forecasting models.
  • Support production planning activities to optimise output, inventory and resource utilisation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align forecasts and operational plans.
  • Monitor trends, promotions and market changes to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Produce reporting and performance insights to support operational decision-making.
  • Drive improvements in planning processes, reporting and data visibility.

About You

  • Experience in production planning, forecasting, supply chain analysis or a similar analytical role within FMCG, manufacturing or a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability and experience working with data and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of demand planning, inventory management and supply chain operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
  • Proactive, organised and commercially aware, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Able to translate complex data into practical recommendations that improve business performance.
