We are currently seeking a conscientious and diligent
Public Area Assistant
to join our Accommodation Services team, looking after our public areas.

The shift patterns for this role are 8am to 4.30pm and 2.30pm to 11pm, working 5 days from 7.

The on target earning potential for this role is £33,122 / per annum based on a 40 hour contract - comprising a base salary of £28,122, plus a qualified estimate of £5,000 in gratuities and service charge.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:
  • Consistently delivering and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, room preparation and presentation throughout the estate, including deep cleaning exercises
  • Taking huge pride in ensuring the cleanliness, presentation and hygiene of all the public areas, reception and service areas are always achieved
  • Restocking and replacing items in public areas and bathrooms, making sure our guests have everything they need when visiting or in advance of their stay
  • Servicing bathrooms by washing and emptying bins; cleaning all surfaces and floors; showers, baths, basins, bidets, and toilets to the highest standard
  • Vacuuming bathrooms, bedroom floors, corridors, stairs, and lifts to remove all debris; checking the vacuum cleaner each week; using the correct cleaning materials for each particular task
  • Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way
The kind of person we're looking for:
  • Ideally, you'll have previous experience within a similar role though full training is offered; you'll also be available to work a flexible schedule
  • You’ll be required to complete standard forms to record events on a regular basis and interact with our guests so a strong grasp of English language, both written and spoken, are essential; additional languages would also be beneficial!
  • Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
  • You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
  • A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual
  • You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way
