4 on, 4 off (Night Shift Only) – 18.00pm – 06.00am

Pay Rate: £15.35 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and experienced Team Leader to join our recycling facility in Perth. This role involves overseeing a team of General Operatives, ensuring the safe and efficient processing of electrical equipment for disposal. You will play a key role in driving performance, maintaining standards, and supporting the day-to-day running of the operation during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of General Operatives to achieve daily targets
  • Oversee sorting, dismantling, and processing of electrical equipment for recycling and disposal
  • Allocate tasks and manage workflow to maximise productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure all items are prepared in line with company and environmental regulations
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching, support, and feedback
  • Carry out and oversee quality control checks to maintain high standards
  • Ensure safe handling of electrical goods and materials at all times
  • Enforce and promote strict adherence to health and safety procedures
  • Complete shift reports, maintain records, and communicate effectively with management
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar Team Leader or supervisory role is essential
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of recycling processes or similar industrial/production environments
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce quality standards
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure
  • Basic IT skills for reporting and operational tracking
