Are you a NEBOSH-qualified Health & Safety Advisor with utilities or water industry experience?
Do you thrive in a hands‑on role carrying out site inspections, audits and supporting teams on live projects?
Location:
Perth/Dundee (covering sites across Scotland). Salary: £42,000 + Company Car or Car Allowance. Job Type: Permanent.
- Provide competent Health & Safety advice and support to operational teams across multiple sites.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits and workplace assessments, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching, mentoring and engagement with site personnel.
- Support incident investigations, producing reports and ensuring lessons learned are communicated across the business.
- Ensure compliance with current Health & Safety legislation, company policies and client requirements.
- Assist with the development and review of risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
- Monitor Health & Safety performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
- Liaise with managers, clients and subcontractors to maintain high standards of Health & Safety performance.
- Support internal and external audits where required.
- Experience working as a Health & Safety Advisor within utilities, ideally the water industry.
- A NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
- A valid CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience carrying out site inspections, audits and supporting operational teams on live construction or utilities projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work independently while managing a regional workload across Scotland.
- Previous experience within the water sector.
- Experience with in wider utilities or energy infrastructure.
- Experience delivering Health & Safety training.
- ISO 45001 Internal Auditor qualification.
- Membership of IOSH (or working towards).
- Company car or car allowance.
