At Murray shall Country Estate, we’re looking for a talented and ambitious Sous Chef to join our growing culinary team.

Set within 365 acres of stunning Perthshire countryside, Murray shall is a luxury four-star country estate entering an exciting new chapter, featuring a newly renovated restaurant, a brand new state of the art multi million pound kitchen and continued investment across the estate.

As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with our Head Chef to help lead the kitchen team, deliver exceptional food and maintain the high standards our guests expect across restaurant, events and hospitality operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who brings energy, creativity and strong kitchen organisation to every service.

You’ll play a key role in shaping menus, mentoring junior chefs and helping drive consistency, quality and innovation throughout the kitchen.

• Supporting the Head Chef with menu development and food innovation
• Leading the kitchen during service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
• Preparing and delivering high-quality dishes with consistency and flair
• Training, mentoring and motivating junior kitchen team members
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards
• Managing stock control, ordering and minimising wastage
• Working collaboratively to create exceptional guest dining experiences
• Helping drive kitchen performance while maintaining a positive team culture

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about food and hospitality
• Calm, organised and confident under pressure
• A strong team leader with excellent communication skills
• Creative, driven and eager to contribute new ideas
• Experienced in a busy restaurant, hotel or hospitality kitchen at Sous Chef level
• Committed to high standards, consistency and attention to detail
