About the JobYou're responsible for the commercial development of the Australian cruise business for assigned clients and managing commercial relationships with suppliers.
- Prepare financial and content proposals according to client specifications and deadlines, achieving competitive rates and attractive margins through negotiation.
- Communicate with cruise line clients regarding ongoing Requests for Proposal and Ad Hoc Quotation requests, and acquire new cruise business by participating in RFPs.
- Source and identify new tour products and experiences to enhance the Intercruises portfolio aligned with brand and guest expectations.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with tour operators and suppliers.
- Manage the end‑to‑end supplier contracting process and rate negotiations, ensuring all agreements, compliance documents, and requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct site inspections and participate in familiarisation trips when required.
- Proven experience in the travel industry, preferably with cruise experience, and a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape and tourism trends in Australia.
- Experience in sales or account management, ideally in the tourism industry, with a strong commercial mindset and proven negotiation skills.
- A track record of successful deal closures and building strategic partnerships, and a curiosity and proactive approach to sourcing new products and experiences.
- A collaborative team player with a flexible, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Great organisational and time-management skills, able to work independently, with solid knowledge of digital tools like Salesforce.
