Overview
RASAC P&K is a feminist, survivor‑centred organisation based in Perth and Kinross. The Justice Advocacy Worker role supports survivors of sexual violence who are engaging with or considering the criminal justice system.
Responsibilities- Provide emotional, practical and specialist support to survivors.
- Work alongside partner agencies to improve survivor experiences and support access to vital services.
- Raise awareness of advocacy services and advocate on behalf of survivors when appropriate.
- Support survivors dealing with challenges such as trust, self‑esteem, self‑care, relationships or education, as well as those who self‑harm or use substances as coping strategies.
- Maintain safe boundaries and adapt approach to meet individual needs.
- Travel within Scotland to support survivors to court, driving a vehicle when required.
- Reflect on practice, challenge assumptions and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Consistent and reliable work ethic.
- Demonstrated empathy, kindness and the ability to work non‑judgmentally with survivors.
- Comfortable working in a culture that values respect, integrity and innovation.
- Willingness to reflect, challenge oneself and others and share learning.
- Full induction and training across a broad range of relevant areas.
- Paid monthly external supervision and supervision with line manager.
- Competitive salary of £34,665 pro‑rata.
- Employers pension contributions.
- 42 days annual leave per year pro‑rata, including public holidays.
- Off‑street parking on rota basis.
- Trial of a 4‑day week for full‑time workers; if not continued, normal 35‑hour week over five days.
The post is fixed term until March 2027. Future funding will be actively sought.
