A Day In The Life

In this role, you’ll own the performance, strategy, and growth of major multi‑channel paid media accounts. You’ll partner closely with the Associate Media Director on strategic direction and planning while fully owning execution, testing, and reporting. Your day includes reviewing pacing and KPIs, identifying optimization opportunities, designing tests that push performance forward across the full funnel, leading client conversations, guiding a growing team of Media Managers, and confidently recommending strategies that drive real business impact in a remote‑first environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own end‑to‑end management and strategic oversight of assigned paid media accounts.
  • Drive performance against pacing, KPIs, and efficiency goals—continually raising expectations.
  • Lead paid media strategy, road‑mapping, testing frameworks, and campaign ideation.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 1–2+ Media Managers, supporting their strategic and technical growth.
  • Partner with Account Managers and the Media Director to align media strategy with client goals and business outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary internal and external point of contact for owned accounts.
  • Lead client communication, reporting, insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee ongoing account maintenance: optimizations, structure updates, bidding strategies, conversion tracking, and copy revisions.
  • Design and deploy monthly and quarterly testing plans across structure, targeting, creative, messaging, and conversion strategy.
  • Drive full‑funnel strategy development, validation, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to expand media spend, channels, and account scope.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, testing new platforms, and expanding Cardinal’s paid media offerings.
Role Requirements
  • 6–10+ years of paid media experience.
  • Proven experience managing multiple accounts with monthly budgets ranging from $100K to $1MM+.
  • Strong background in paid media strategy, media planning, testing frameworks, and performance measurement across channels.
  • Hands‑on experience across platforms, including Google Ads, Bing Ads, Meta, Google Display, Programmatic Display, and paid social (Linked In, Tik Tok a plus).
  • Experience with full‑funnel strategy, video campaigns, and lead generation.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, GTM, conversion tracking, and optimization strategy (GA4 a plus).
  • Ability to write ad copy, guide creative strategy, define asset needs, and lead creative testing cadences.
  • Client‑facing experience with confidence, presenting insights, and defending strategy.
  • Team management and mentorship experience.
  • Strong critical‑thinking skills, ownership mindset, and comfort working autonomously in a remote environment.
