AboutThe Role
The Junior Google Media Buyer will support the execution and optimization of direct‑response, lead‑generation campaigns across Google Ads
. This role is designed for someone with early experience in paid search or performance marketing who wants to build strong fundamentals in intent‑based acquisition
, focusing on cost‑per‑lead efficiency, keyword strategy, and conversion rate optimization.
Location:
Remote - available 9am - 5pm ET
- Assist in building, launching, and managing Google Search and Performance Max lead‑generation campaigns.
- Support setup of campaigns, ad groups, keywords, match types, budgets, bidding strategies, and extensions optimized for CPL and conversion volume.
- Perform daily performance checks to ensure campaigns are spending efficiently and meeting lead goals.
- Help optimize bids, budgets, keywords, match types, and search terms under direction.
- Monitor key direct‑response metrics including CPA/CPL, CTR, CPC, impression share, and conversion rate.
- Assist in identifying scaling opportunities, wasted spend, and underperforming keywords or ad groups.
- Support ongoing testing of keywords, match types, ad copy, headlines, and descriptions.
- Assist with search term mining and negative keyword management to improve efficiency.
- Provide performance‑driven feedback on ad messaging and intent alignment.
- Pull daily, weekly, and monthly reports from Google Ads, Google Analytics, and internal dashboards.
- Track trends in CPL, lead volume, and efficiency and flag performance shifts early.
- Support performance summaries, optimization notes, and testing recaps with clear insights.
- Stay current on Google Ads best practices, bidding strategy updates, policy changes, and algorithm shifts.
- Analyze competitor ads and SERP landscapes to identify messaging and intent opportunities.
- Actively develop skills in paid search strategy, keyword intent analysis, and performance optimization.
- 1–2 years of experience in paid search, performance marketing, or digital advertising.
- Hands‑on experience running Google Ads for lead generation or conversions preferred.
- Working knowledge of Google Ads, including campaign structure, keywords, match types, and reporting.
- Exposure to Performance Max, Display, or You Tube is a plus but not required.
- Comfortable working with data and making decisions based on performance metrics.
- Proficient in Google Sheets or Excel for tracking and analysis.
- Basic understanding of conversion tracking, UTMs, attribution models, and Google Tag Manager.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4) is a plus.
- Strong interest in what drives high‑intent conversions, not just traffic volume.
- Ability to think in terms of search intent, keyword themes, and conversion‑focused messaging.
- Coachable, detail‑oriented, and eager to grow in a performance‑driven environment.
- Able to manage daily tasks independently while collaborating with a remote team.
