Overview
We are seeking a warm, dedicated, and experienced 4th grade teacher to lead a small pod of children in a hybrid home-and-outdoor learning environment. This is a part-time role, four days per week, designed for an educator who values meaningful connection, creativity, and a developmentally aligned approach to teaching.
The learning environment is split between two days in a cozy home classroom setting and two days fully outdoors in nature (weather permitting). The ideal candidate is grounded in the Waldorf curriculum and pedagogy, with a rich understanding of child development, rhythm, storytelling, and the arts. Just as importantly, they bring strong academic teaching experience and are confident in integrating core skills such as literacy, math, science, and history through engaging and hands-on lessons.
We are looking for someone who brings flexibility and initiative, a teacher who is inspired to design lessons that reflect not only the Waldorf developmental approach but also their own unique strengths, passions, and teaching style. Whether your gifts are in music, handwork, earth sciences, storytelling, movement, or project-based learning, we value your unique approach to learning!

- Leading outdoor learning days with nature exploration, seasonal work, and practical life skills
- Integrating arts such as painting, form drawing, handwork, music, poetry, and drama
- Providing thoughtful communication and updates to parents
- Supporting a lifelong love of learning while honoring each child as an individual
