Job OverviewWe are seeking a Magnetics Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Petaluma, CA. In this role, you will focus on designing and manufacturing Medium Voltage (< 100 kV) isolation‑rated transformers, a core capability in our high‑volume custom magnetics division. You will conduct design‑space exploration using design‑of‑experiments (DOE) to investigate materials, geometries, power levels, and frequencies, and work closely with our supply‑chain partners to manufacture these components in high volume while managing quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead design‑space exploration through DOE projects that investigate various materials, geometries, power levels, and frequencies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define design requirements and performance targets.
- Work with suppliers to translate designs into manufacturable components, ensuring quality, performance, and cost targets are met.
- M.Sc./Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Strong interest in magnetics operation and design.
- Experience or interest in medium‑voltage isolation (ideal for recent graduates).
Base pay range: $85,000 – $162,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The position is eligible for bonus, equity, and full benefits. Regular presence in Petaluma, CA required.
