Financial Services Representative

, I'm searching for an exceptional professional to join their team in this role!

Sea West Coast Guard Federal Credit Union is a mission driven, not for profit credit union dedicated to the financial wellbeing of those who serve our country. They serve Coast Guard members, veterans, and their families from three locations in Oakland, Alameda, and Petaluma. Their Petaluma Service Center is located on Coast Guard Training Center Petaluma, and it is their biggest opportunity to grow the membership we serve.

Sea West is a team of about 37 across three locations, and in Petaluma you'll be one of just three people on site. That means your work matters, people notice it, and you'll have a real hand in shaping how the Petaluma Service Center grows. Now they're looking for someone who likes people more than paperwork, knows their way around financial products, and wants to get out from behind the desk to build real relationships with the members they serve.

• Welcoming current and prospective members with professional, friendly, knowledgeable service, at the branch and by phone
• Opening new savings, checking, certificate, and IRA accounts
• Accurately processing member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
• Sharing information on our lending products and quoting rates, terms, and types of loans and credit cards
• Helping members get the most from our products and services, including online and mobile banking
• Handling member requests for ATM and debit cards, check and statement copies, check orders, stop payments, and ACH origination
• Recommending products and services that will truly benefit the member
• Representing Sea West at community events and membership development activities
• Other duties as assigned

• Have 2 or more years of experience in a financial institution
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have a basic knowledge of banking regulations
• Are comfortable with computers, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Have a high attention to detail and like it when the numbers come out right
• Are a people person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Bring a proactive, "can do" approach to service
• Stay organized and manage your time well

• $25.96 - $36.06 per hour
• Full time, on site in Petaluma
• Hourly, nonexempt position with overtime eligibility
• Medical (Kaiser Permanente), dental (Delta Dental), and vision (VSP) coverage starting the first of the month after your hire date, with employee premiums paid 100% by Sea West
