Senior Payroll & HR Administrator

California | $75,000 - $90,000 | Paylocity Required

Payroll Expert? Union Environment Experience? Ready to Make an Impact? If you're experienced with California union payroll, Paylocity, certified payroll, and HR administration, this is an opportunity to join a stable company supporting critical roadway safety projects throughout the state.

• Process full-cycle payroll for union, hourly, and salaried employees
• Interpret and apply California union agreements, wage classifications, overtime rules, and fringe benefits
• Manage union reports, dues, and benefit contributions
• Support certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance
• Administer employee onboarding, status changes, and terminations
• Serve as a trusted resource for payroll and HR questions
• Lead Paylocity payroll, timekeeping, and HRIS administration
• Ensure compliance with California labor laws and union agreements
• Generate payroll, compliance, and operational reports

• 5+ years of California payroll experience
• Strong hands‑on experience with Paylocity
• Union payroll expertise required
• Knowledge of California wage & hour laws
• Payroll tax compliance experience
• Experience supporting field, construction, traffic control, or infrastructure work forces preferred
• Certified payroll and prevailing wage experience a plus
• High-impact role supporting a large union workforce
