Sr. Accountant

Our client a well established Public Accounting Firm in the Peterborough area has a current opening for a Senior Accountant. In this role, you will contribute to a range of accounting engagements, including compilations, reviews, and audit assistance along with tax. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on compilation, review engagements, and audit processes to ensure thorough and precise outcomes.

• Prepare and file accurate personal and corporate tax returns in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Maintain adherence to accounting principles and tax guidelines while managing financial tasks.

• Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline engagement processes and enhance efficiency.

• Communicate with clients and colleagues to address inquiries and provide clear financial insights.

• Reconcile accounts and balance sheets to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.

• Perform general ledger maintenance and journal entries to support financial reporting.

• Assist with month-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
