Join BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada as an Accountant in Peterborough, ON. This 18-month contract offers an engaging environment, focusing on general accounting and financial analysis tasks.

In this role, you'll be integral to financial operations, supporting year-end audits, and managing accounts payable. Your tasks will include variance analysis, month-end reporting, and project involvement based on workload. Additionally, you'll liaise with various BWXT sites to ensure streamlined processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile vendor invoices accurately

• Assist with bi-weekly payment runs coordination

• Maintain vendor supply list and journal entry checklists

• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations

• Identify and recommend automation opportunities across processes

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance related field

• 1-3 years in General Accounting or similar roles

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong communication skills

• Ability to multi-task and produce quality work under pressure

• Independent and detail-oriented mindset needed
