Position Overview
As a Jr. Project Coordinator, you will work closely with the project manager and project superintendent to support project progress according to set schedule, budget and quality standards. Work is performed on site, in the project yard and in site trailers.
Work TermStart in September 2026, 1 to 4 terms (4 to 16 months). International students must complete a minimum of 6 months.
LocationProject located within Ontario (rental accommodation covered by company). Head office:
Peterborough.
Education and Experience
- Current enrollment in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering program at an accredited post‑secondary institution and return to full‑time studies after the work term.
- Personal vehicle required.
- A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
- Attach transcripts with your application.
- Track project progress against budget, technical specifications and schedule.
- Track and update inventory lists.
- Order materials, tools and supplies; follow up on orders and coordinate deliveries.
- Assist with preparation of reports and calculations.
- Read and interpret drawings and contracts.
- Assist with purchasing site supplies and purchase orders.
- Support on‑site measuring.
- Assist with quality inspections and testing.
- Participate in project meetings.
- Follow up with clients and subcontractors and maintain supporting documentation.
- Support Project Manager and Superintendent as required.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Team player.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project Manager, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.
- Ability to understand and read drawings.
- Initiative and accountability.
- Open to continuous learning.
- Willingness to travel and/or relocate.
