Customer Service Representative

Billyard Insurance Group (BIG) is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our Peterborough office. In this role you will be the lead contact for client inquiries, manage policy renewals and endorsements, and provide expert guidance to clients.

What does the Customer Service Representative do?

As a CSR, you’ll be the lead contact for incoming calls and questions from our clients and prospective clients, ensuring they receive quality customer service. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Serving as a point of contact for clients and liaising with team members to enhance service
  • Assisting with billing inquiries and processing
  • Managing and servicing the existing book of business by handling renewals, endorsements, and policy changes
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance and support
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance client coverage and recommending additional products or services
  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance in all policy documentation and transactions
  • Collaborating with underwriters and carriers to resolve client inquiries and coverage concerns
  • Maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring all interactions align with regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active and current insurance broker license for the relevant provincial regulatory body (e.g., RIBO)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a service‑focused administrative role
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting principles, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in policy management and CRM systems

Asset:

  • A university degree in a related field or a college diploma in Insurance from a Canadian post‑secondary institution
