Position summary

Member Services Representative - Responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. Salary: $17.60 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Handle all front desk related activities including answering phones, checking members into the system, conducting tours, signing up new members, calculating rates and monthly payment amounts, and assisting the Club Manager with drawer counts.
  • Facilitate updates to members’ accounts.
  • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating to Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
  • Maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club by completing daily assigned tasks within the first hour of your shift, completing the priority cleaning list each day, performing walk‑around and bathroom checks periodically, and helping with special cleaning projects as required.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Customer service background preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Punctuality and reliability mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
  • Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact positively and professionally with members and co‑workers, exceeding expectations.
  • Strong listening, empathy, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrates diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
Physical Demands
  • Continual standing and walking during shift.
  • Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
