Are you an experienced educator looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to a young person's education?
We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across Peterborough. Tuition will take place either in the pupil's home or within a school setting during school hours, providing personalised support to help students achieve their academic goals and build confidence in learning.
The RoleAs a 1:1 Tutor, you will work with pupils who require additional educational support, delivering tailored lessons that meet their individual learning needs. You will help students re-engage with education, improve attainment, and develop the skills needed to succeed.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality one-to-one tuition sessions.
- Plan and adapt lessons to suit individual pupil needs and abilities.
- Support pupils in achieving academic targets and improving confidence.
- Monitor and record pupil progress.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and schools.
- Maintain accurate records and reports where required.
- Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
- Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in the UK.
- Strong curriculum knowledge and classroom experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with children and young people of varying abilities.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Access to reliable transport and willingness to travel within Peterborough and surrounding areas.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous tutoring experience.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, or those who are currently out of education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
