Position: Naturalist for Indigenous Learning Programs
Enhance Indigenous land-based education at the Kawartha Pine Ridge Education Center. This full-time role focuses on experiential learning with students across grades JK to 12.

As a Naturalist specializing in Indigenous Land-Based Learning, you will lead safe and inclusive outdoor education programs aligned with Ontario's curriculum. Your background in environmental studies and experience with Indigenous communities will inform engaging, hands-on educational experiences for students. Collaboration, cultural knowledge, and effective communication are key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop engaging outdoor education programs for grades JK to 12

• Collaborate with Indigenous Education for curriculum integration

• Create resources and interactive learning materials

• Ensure safe operation of the Outdoor Education Centre

• Conduct daily safety checks and administer first aid when needed

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in environmental studies or related field

• One year of experience with Indigenous engagement

• First Aid & CPR certification required

• Valid driver's license and own vehicle

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
