Education Coordinator at Ontario Turtle Conservation

Drive education initiatives at the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre in Peterborough, Ontario as an Education Program Coordinator. Oversee presentations and activities fostering turtle conservation awareness.

This full-time role provides an opportunity to engage with diverse audiences through educational programs on Ontario's native turtle species. You will develop, implement, and enhance the Centre's Education Program, utilizing new facilities to expand outreach. In this position, you will inspire public action towards turtle conservation and manage program delivery across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging educational presentations

• Implement unique programs for schools and community groups

• Grow outreach opportunities using Centre facilities

• Supervise volunteers or staff involved in educational efforts

• Maintain updated knowledge on turtle biology and conservation

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in education, biology, or conservation

• Minimum two years in public education and program delivery

• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

• First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
