Civil Engineering Student Co-op: Junior Project Coordinator

Eligibility & Work Term

Must be a current student enrolled in a Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering program at an accredited post‑secondary institution. Candidates must return to full‑time studies after the internship. Work term begins in September 2026 and lasts 1–4 terms (4 to 16 months). International students must complete a minimum of 6 months. Personal vehicle, driver’s licence and a clean driving record are required.

Project located within Ontario. Rental accommodation will be provided by the company. Head office is located in Peterborough.

As a Jr. Project Coordinator, you will work closely with the project manager and superintendent to support project progress according to schedule, budget and quality standards. Work is performed on site, in the project yard and site trailers.

• Track project progress against budget, technical specifications and schedule
• Track and update inventory lists
• Order materials, tools and supplies; follow up on orders and coordinate deliveries
• Assist with preparation of various reports and calculations
• Read and interpret drawings and contracts
• Assist with purchasing site supplies and purchase orders
• Support on‑site measuring activities
• Assist with quality inspections and testing
• Participate in project meetings
• Follow up with clients and subcontractors and help maintain supporting documentation
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent as required

• Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering program at an accredited post‑secondary institution
• Transcripts must be attached with the application
• Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
• Ability to follow instructions and work as a team player
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD
• Ability to understand and read drawings
• Initiative, accountability and willingness to learn
• Willingness to travel and/or relocate

• Completed Safety / WHMIS / Working at Heights trainings
