Position: Senior Mechanical Designer at BWXT

Reporting directly to the Design Services Manager, you will focus on mechanical systems design while ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support technical interfacing with clients, and contribute significantly to the design and execution of complex projects within the nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and model mechanical designs using CAD tools

• Collaborate with engineers on detailed design processes

• Produce and manage technical documentation and drawings

• Provide crucial support during procurement and manufacturing stages

• Communicate regularly with clients for design reviews

Requirements:

• Mechanical Engineering Technologist or equivalent experience

• Advanced proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and CAD software

• Extensive knowledge of GD&T and manufacturability techniques

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently on multiple projects
