Senior Electrical Designer at BWXT

Take on the role of Senior Electrical Designer with BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. in Peterborough, Ontario. This position emphasizes the design and drafting for sophisticated automated equipment utilizing your AutoCAD experience.
As a key player reporting to the Design Services Manager, you will transform concept designs into detailed schematics and BOMs. Your collaboration will span various engineering teams, where you will contribute to design reviews and provide essential insights, ensuring operational efficiency. Candidates should possess a strong foundation in electrical and control systems design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft detailed technical drawings and BOMs for designs

• Generate wiring and assembly diagrams for equipment

• Select appropriate components based on design needs

• Participate in meaningful design reviews with clients

• Collaborate with engineering teams for project execution
Requirements:

• Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology diploma required

• At least 5 years of experience in electrical system design

• Proficient in AutoCAD and advantageous to know AutoCAD Electrical

• Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities

• Proven communication skills adaptable to all audiences
