BWXT Nuclear Energy Community Engagement Specialist

Location: Millbrook

Become a key contributor to community relations with BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada as a Specialist in Licensing & Community Relations. This 18-month contract in Peterborough emphasizes public engagement and communications.

In this role, you will provide vital support for BWXT NEC's public information programs, ensure effective communication with stakeholders, and coordinate community events that highlight BWXT's contributions. Your expertise in writing, project management, and community engagement will foster positive public relations and enhance BWXT’s image.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement public information programs and community initiatives

• Support the Indigenous Relations Roadmap initiatives

• Facilitate community meetings and stakeholder communications

• Track stakeholder engagement and coordinate Community Liaison Committee

• Manage administrative tasks including budget and invoice processing

Requirements:

• Community College Diploma in Public Relations or related field

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in a technical setting

• Proficient in writing and communications

• Strong organizational skills to manage concurrent projects

• Experience with desktop publishing tools
