This full-time permanent role is ideal for experienced planners looking to make an impact. You will lead projects guided by your interests, advising on the Resource Management Act and managing resource consent processes. Your involvement in Council hearings and decision-making will drive improvements across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice on RMA and District Plans

• Manage complex resource consent processes and appeals

• Act as an expert witness during Council hearings

• Mentor developing planners within the team

• Collaborate on policy changes and compliance issues

Requirements:

• Degree in planning or resource management

• At least 7 years' experience in planning roles

• Experience with Council hearings and technical matters

• Strong knowledge of the Resource Management Act

• Full New Zealand driver's licence
