HOURS OF WORK:
The stated hours of work are approximate as schedules are subject to change with the operational needs of the Health Centre. Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.

Under the direction and supervision of a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist, the rehabilitation assistant carries out treatment programs to facilitate clients to reach optimal potential function. Treatment programs may include but are not limited to activities of daily living, exercises and mobility training for individuals or in a group setting

• Completion of a recognized Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant Diploma program or equivalent education and demonstrated practice
• Recent relevant experience in the areas of both Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy
• Recent experience in an acute care setting is considered an asset
• Experience in delivery of both individual and group therapy

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior organizational skills to meet workload demands
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible to meet client needs
• Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a group as a team member
• Demonstrated awareness of precautions/contraindications to active treatment
