Position: Intervenor Role Requiring ASL Skills
Become an Intervenor with Sensity in Peterborough, ON, to bring support to those who are deafblind. Your American Sign Language proficiency will help facilitate communication and independence.

In this part-time role, you'll assist individuals living with dual sensory impairment, providing crucial support for daily activities and personal growth. Sensity offers an in-house training program to ensure you are well-prepared to meet the needs of clients in various environments. Shift availability includes a flexible rotation of days, evenings, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate communication in home and community settings

• Empower clients with daily living tasks and personal care

• Assist in achieving individualized goals and objectives

• Document client interactions and activities accurately

• Engage in program development to enhance services

Requirements:

• Diploma in Intervenor or a related human services discipline

• Knowledge of supporting developmental disabilities and mental health

• Proficiency in ASL or Signed Exact English

• Valid Class G driver's license and access to a vehicle

• Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Police Check
