Registered Pharmacy Technician

• Candidates working at this post are appointed to assist patients at the counter, receive written prescriptions for Pharmacists, and retrieve filled prescriptions.
• They’re also appointed to process register transactions, receive payment, make changes, process checks, credit and debit charges.
• Candidates at this post are appointed to provide prompt and courteous patient services.
• They’re also required to answer phones, direct members to product location working at this post.
• Candidates at this post are required to fill prescriptions by bringing stock bottles, counting medication into appropriate containers, labeling, and pricing prescriptions under Pharmacist’s supervision to the extent permitted by provincial regulations.
• They’re also appointed to complete packaging verification for prescriptions previously checked for therapeutic appropriateness by the pharmacist to the extent permitted by provincial regulations.
• Candidates are required to order, receive, tag, and stock prescription drugs, supplies and over-the-counter products.
• They’re also appointed to follow product storage procedures, standards and merchandising plans. Performs department 93 stocking duties as well as OTC roaming.
• Candidates are required to create product signs and ensure the department is clean at all times.

• Candidates must have completed a Pharmacy Technician course at a Community College and the Pharmacy Examination Board of Canada Qualifying exam to be eligible for this post.
• Candidates must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in good standing in the province of work.
• Candidates must have dedicated Costco Pharmacy experience to be eligible for this post.

• Candidates must attain dedicated computer, math, and member service skills to be eligible for this post.
