WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Inpatient Clerk supports the patient care team and the patient experience on inpatient units. Responsibilities include reception duties for calls and visits to the unit from internal staff, non-PRHC personnel; non-clinical patient assistance (responding to general inquiries, directing patients and visitors to the most appropriate clinical team member, providing assistance to obtain services); facilitation of communication (receiving mail, fax).WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Successful completion of a Hospital Nursing Unit Secretary Certificate or an equivalent combination of education and work experience WHO YOU ARE:

Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations

Demonstrated basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word Accurate keyboarding skills: 4500 keystrokes per hour Ability to type 35 words per minute
