Renal Healthcare Assistant at NHS Trust

Make a difference as a Renal Healthcare Assistant with University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust in Peterborough, caring for chronic patients. This role involves supporting dialysis and patient observations while receiving comprehensive training.

This band 3 position offers a chance to work in the Haemodialysis unit caring for up to 179 patients. Previous experience in renal care is a plus, but the trust provides full in-house training. Ideal candidates will hold NVQ level 3 or equivalent and possess at least 12 months in a care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up dialysis machines efficiently

• Connect and disconnect patients from dialysis

• Perform pre and post-dialysis observations

• Assist trained staff as needed

• Deliver high-quality care to chronically ill patients

Requirements:

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification

• At least 12 months care experience

• Desire to provide compassionate patient care

• Ability to work under supervision effectively

• Commitment to upholding patient dignity and respect
