The primary focus is to provide branch operational excellence that exceeds our customer expectations. Participating in establishing and maintaining the goals and objectives set for the branch. Supervising and encouraging optimal performance of all direct reports.

Major Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct Counter, Administrative and Warehouse Staff to provide optimum service to our customers - timely delivery, quick & efficient service with the intent of growing our business.Ensure staff are working together to achieve optimum efficiency and branch goals. This includes coordinating support from the Inside Sales Team when assistance is required in other branch functions such as counter, administrative and warehouse.Review daily workload and assign tasks/responsibilities accordinglyHold staff accountable by dealing with non-conformance issues on a timely basisResponsible for branch administrative and operational responsibilities, ensure they are performed on a timely basis includes all scorecard items processing of customer returns and credits vendor returns (paperwork processing) defectives yearly returns freight claims tracking and resolving customer shipping errors filling of all paperworkHave a thorough knowledge of the Gescan Occupational Health and Safety Program and ensure it is being followed by staff and customers. Includes:
Holding monthly OH&S meetings and ensure meeting minutes are posted. Ensure OH&S board is kept up to date and appropriate number of staff hold valid first aid certifications. Forklift drivers hold valid forklift certifications.Ensure all branch employees are trained and follow approved branch processes, policies and procedures and meet customer service and product knowledge standards.Responsible for inventory management:
Cycle counts, inventory accuracy and inventory loss.Ensure branch is kept clean and product is organized and well merchandised including displays.Responsible to ensure all warehouse and office equipment is maintained on a regular basis as well as ensuring damages to all equipment and shelving/racking are dealt with promptly.Help identify solutions to issues that may affect the service, efficiency, and productivity of the branch.Resolve day to day personnel issues where supervisory decisions are required and notify management appropriately.Skills, experience and qualification required:
5-10 years related experience in Operations required (preferably in Distribution)Ontario Health & Safety experienceUniversity/College education preferred.Knowledge of Microsoft office required.Benefits & Perks:
